Porsche is a mother of small children, local small-business owner, veterans advocate, and Citrus Heights Planning Commissioner. She understands firsthand the importance of public safety, quality of life, and balancing between business and residential development to ensure vibrant growth for the next 20 years.
Porsche will bring her experience, innovative thinking, and strong leadership to Citrus Heights. She stands for community values, and will work to improve public safety, end homelessness, rebuild our deteriorating infrastructure, innovate city government, and improve neighborhood services.
As a mother, wife and resident, Porsche understands the priorities of our neighborhoods and community. It is vital to Porsche that our city gives everyone the opportunity to an enjoyable quality of life.
While attending the University of Louisville, Porsche developed several community initiatives to aid in redeveloping and revitalizing downtown Louisville. One of these projects, Liberty Green, provided $200 million towards creating housing in a mixed income community.
Porsche’s passion for education drove her to develop a scholarship program for underserved high school students interested in pursuing engineering. Porsche’s passion for business and job creation lead her to develop business and workforce development models which increased the total number of local awarded contracts by 50% in the initial phases of the Ohio River Bridges Project. This proactive approach substantially increased local employment numbers keeping opportunity within the community.
Porsche met her husband Ben while attending engineering school; shortly thereafter they opened a consulting firm focusing on aerospace engineering and project management. Opportunity lead Porsche and Ben to settle in California and they are proud to call Citrus Heights home. Understanding the challenges that working families face, Porsche redirected her efforts to raising her two boys, Emanuel and Tiberius, and becoming more involved in the Citrus Heights community.
Currently, Porsche is a Planning Commissioner for the City of Citrus Heights, founding member and former Vice President of the Greater Arden Chamber of Commerce, member of the Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce, board member of the Sacramento Regional Conservation Corps, board member of the Citrus Heights Rotary International, Organizational and Development Chair for the California Democratic Veterans Caucus, committee member of the California Democratic Party Voter Services Committee, a Mather Veterans Hospital volunteer, veterans advocate and community volunteer.
Porsche is a candidate for the Citrus Heights City Council 2018.
